Generate a read-only Fordefi API key
In the Fordefi dashboard, create an API user with read-only vault and transaction permissions. Fordefi uses a zero-trust API model — each API call is signed. Paste the API key and the API signer public key into Wag3s.

How are Fordefi smart contract wallets handled differently from EOA wallets in Wag3s?
Fordefi supports account-abstraction (AA) vaults where the signer is an MPC key but the on-chain wallet is a smart contract. From an accounting standpoint the key difference is attribution — AA wallet transactions may involve internal calls, gas sponsorship, and batch operations that are decoded separately from a simple EOA transfer. Wag3s uses Fordefi's contract metadata alongside its own DeFi decoder to correctly attribute each sub-call of an AA transaction to the right classification.
Does the Fordefi integration support MPC zero-trust transaction policies?
Yes. Fordefi's zero-trust model requires every API call to be signed by an API signer key, and transaction policies enforce protocol-level and dollar-value limits before execution. Wag3s preserves the policy rule context and the approver chain on every transaction record in the audit trail. This means that for audit or compliance review, each transaction in Wag3s shows which policy rule authorized it and which signers approved it.
