NetSuite — wallet-level crypto subledger, enterprise-grade
Mid-market and enterprise finance teams run on NetSuite. Wag3s plugs in as a clean subledger — daily JEs, multi-entity, audit controls, segregation of duties.
NetSuite is where enterprise finance teams live, and it's the ERP your auditor expects to see when you scale past Series A. Plugging crypto into NetSuite is harder than into QuickBooks because the controls are stricter — multi-entity COA, intercompany flows, period locks, segregation of duties, audit-trail expectations. Wag3s ships the integration with all of those handled. Daily JEs post per entity per wallet; the COA mapping supports US-GAAP (ASU 2023-08), IFRS (IAS 38 amendments), and PCG; intercompany transfers between entities reconcile correctly; period locks block retroactive posting after close; every line carries the wallet address and on-chain transaction hash for audit traceability.
What the NetSuite integration does
Multi-entity, multi-subsidiary support
Each NetSuite subsidiary maps to a Wag3s entity. JEs post against the right subsidiary; intercompany flows reconcile across.
Advanced COA mapping
Map by Wag3s category × entity × wallet. Templates for ASU 2023-08, IAS 38, PCG, and custom-COA setups.
Period-aware posting
Period-locked dates are respected. Retroactive activity posts to the next open period with an explicit reclassification entry.
Segregation of duties
Wag3s posts under a service account with restricted scopes. Approval and review live on the NetSuite side; we don't bypass your existing controls.
Audit log integration
Every Wag3s-posted JE references its source transaction hashes; NetSuite's saved searches can trace any number back through Wag3s to the chain.
The connection in 5 steps
Connect NetSuite
{ "Token-based authentication (TBA) with a service account": { " Scopes limited to": "JE post, GL read, COA read, subsidiary read." } }
Configure entity → subsidiary mapping
Each Wag3s entity (operating company, foundation, DAO treasury) maps to one or more NetSuite subsidiaries.
Map COA per entity
Crypto categories → NetSuite GL accounts. Templates pre-loaded for ASU 2023-08 / IAS 38 / PCG.
Daily JEs post automatically
Per-entity, per-wallet, per-day JEs land in NetSuite each morning. Reviewable before posting (configurable approval workflow).
Month-end close
FX revaluation, fair-value mark-to-market (ASU 2023-08), period lock — all run from NetSuite as usual; Wag3s respects the lock.
Common configurations
Operating entity in Delaware, foundation in Cayman, DAO treasury on Safe. Three NetSuite subsidiaries, three Wag3s entities. Intercompany transfers (operating → foundation grant, foundation → DAO disbursement) reconcile across subsidiaries automatically. Month-end consolidates without manual reclassification.
NetSuite is the GL of record. Big-4 audit committee requires full audit trail and SOX-style controls. Wag3s posts under a restricted service account; approvals happen in NetSuite; every GL line has a wallet address and transaction hash. Audit walkthrough proceeds without manual reconstruction.
NetSuite integration questions
Do you support NetSuite OneWorld for multi-subsidiary?
Yes. Each Wag3s entity maps to one or more NetSuite subsidiaries; the JE post targets the right subsidiary; intercompany flows reconcile across the consolidation.
Can we restrict Wag3s's posting to specific GL accounts?
Yes. The service-account TBA can be scoped to specific account ranges and JE types. We recommend a dedicated service account with minimum-required permissions; a sample SuiteScript role is published in the integration docs.
How does fair-value mark-to-market work?
At period close, Wag3s computes the fair-value of every crypto position (using CMC / CoinGecko spot at period-end) and posts an unrealized gain / loss JE to a dedicated GL account. ASU 2023-08-aligned for US-GAAP filers; reversible the following period.
How is intercompany handled?
A wallet-to-wallet transfer between two entities posts mirrored JEs on each side (debit one subsidiary, credit the other) referencing the same intercompany identifier. The consolidation eliminates them automatically.
