Odoo — open-source ERP, plus a clean crypto subledger
Odoo is the open-source ERP of choice for European SMBs running self-hosted or Odoo.sh. We integrate cleanly with daily crypto JEs and multi-company support.
Odoo is widely deployed across European SMBs — particularly in France, Belgium, Spain, Germany. Self-hosted, Odoo.sh, and Odoo Online are all supported. The integration uses Odoo's official Accounting module API to post journal entries with the right account.account, move.line, and analytic.account references. Multi-company is supported.
What the Odoo integration does
Daily JE sync via Odoo XML-RPC API
Posts to account.move with full line detail.
Multi-company support
Odoo's res.company hierarchy maps to Wag3s entities.
Analytic account tagging
Optional analytic dimensions attached per JE line.
The connection in 4 steps
Connect Odoo via XML-RPC service account
Create a dedicated service account in Odoo with restricted scope — access to the accounting module only. Wag3s connects using the XML-RPC API with the service account credentials.
Map Wag3s entities to Odoo companies
Each Wag3s entity (operating company, subsidiary, foundation) is mapped to its corresponding Odoo res.company. Multi-company setups are supported natively.
Configure COA mapping per company
Map Wag3s transaction categories to Odoo account.account codes. French PCG plan comptable templates are pre-loaded; custom COA mappings can be saved and reused.
Daily JEs post via account.move API
Each day's classified crypto activity is posted as an account.move with full line detail (account, partner, analytic account, amount, currency). Reviewable in Odoo's accounting journal before validation.
Common configurations
A French Web3 startup uses Odoo as its ERP with the PCG plan comptable. Wag3s posts daily JEs with PCG-aligned account codes and generates the FEC (Fichier des Écritures Comptables) export from Odoo for the expert-comptable, covering both fiat and crypto activity.
A holding group with three subsidiaries across France, Spain, and the Netherlands runs Odoo Enterprise with multi-company enabled. Wag3s maps each subsidiary's wallets to the correct Odoo company and posts daily JEs per entity, with intercompany transfers reconciling at consolidation.
Odoo integration questions
Do you support self-hosted Odoo?
Yes. Self-hosted, Odoo.sh, Odoo Online — all supported. The connection is a service-account API key with restricted scope.
Does the Odoo integration support multi-company (multi-société) setups?
Yes. Odoo's res.company hierarchy is fully supported. Each Wag3s entity (operating company, subsidiary, foundation) maps to its corresponding Odoo company, and journal entries are posted against the correct company using the multi-company-aware XML-RPC API. Intercompany transfers between entities reconcile at consolidation without manual reclassification.
Is FEC (Fichier des Écritures Comptables) generation supported via the Odoo integration?
The FEC is a French legal requirement — it is generated from Odoo's accounting module, not pushed from Wag3s directly. Wag3s posts crypto journal entries to Odoo with PCG-aligned account codes, and once those entries are validated in Odoo, they are included in Odoo's standard FEC export. This gives the expert-comptable a single FEC covering both fiat and crypto activity, with no manual merge required.
